Michael W. Bailey, Sr. Born in Chicago, Ill., he shares many stories of his life while living in the City of Chicago that could have turned his life in such a manner that could have been detrimental to his future. Pastor Bailey always tells the story and attributes the saving of his life to God giving his mother the wisdom to send him down south to live with his grandparents in Mangham, La. He enlisted in the Army to serve his country as a young man during his senior year in high school. He served well and completed his service honorably. He had a very special relationship with his sister Yvonne who lead him to the Lord. As he progressed in his relationship with God, he often talks about his supernatural experience he had with God. Soon after, he received the call to minister the gospe in 1996. His conversation with the Lord went a little something like this…Lord, I will not start a church until you give me the name. The Lord brought him to Psalms 107:28-30. “Then they cry unto the Lord in their trouble, and he brings them out of their distresses. He makes the storm calm, so that the waves thereof are still. Then they were glad because they were quiet, so he brought them to their desired haven.” This was the birth of Safe Haven Faith Ministries. Sensational Preacher, Sagacious Teacher, Sanctified Worshipper, and Savvied Leader are just a few words to describe Pastor Michael W. Bailey, Sr. He enjoys and values the covenant of marriage and has been married to Tamala Bailey for twenty-one years. He takes pleasure in the being the proud father to two sons and three daughters.
Lady Tamala Bailey is the creative, bold, and captivating wife of Pastor Michael W. Bailey, Sr. Pastor and Founder of Safe Haven Faith Ministries. Devoted to the vision of the ministry, she assists her husband with a variety of duties to assure that his God-given mandate is carried out. A powerful and anointed teacher in her own right, Lady Tamala has the same emphasis in ministering as her husband and Pastor, which is to restore, revive, and replenish relationships back to the glory of God. She emphasizes coming into the revelation of your identity in Christ and then living your life from the inside out. As a women who onced lived in fear because of the perceived perception of others, she has overcome the lie that she isn’t good enough. She now walks in faith and lives to share that boldness is her superpower. She loves encouraging women to allow them to realize what took her years to realize, and that is that she is bold, beautiful, and already equipped with everything needed to fulfill what God has already ordained for her to do. She exercises her gift of teaching each week during their weekly bible study where her examples of making the word of God relevant is simple to understand. Utilizing powerful descriptive and illustrative words, Lady Tamala’s delivery will teach, inspire, and empower all who hear her to new levels of knowing who they are and how powerful they are because afterall, they are made in the image of the most high God.
